Seven-story, semicircular shell tower from the 14th/15th century.[A 3] With a height of 40 m and a diameter of 9.9 × 10.3 m, it occupies a special position among towers. One of the city's most distinctive landmarks. Refurbishment 1975/76 by the association Alt-Gmünd, which also installed a new staircase and intermediate floors to make the tower accessible to the public. Donation of a new small bell by a local company.[A 4] Regularly accessible on the Day of the Open Monument.
