Hiking

The original twelve-armed beech, which has stood here since about 1850, was probably overturned in the 60s or 70s. It was about 10m from the old place a new beech planted. In older photos you can even find a wooden fence around the beech that was supposed to prevent game and vandalism.
A bench on the edge of the pond invites you to linger and watch the ducks.

An old pilgrim path leads past the Zwölfapostelbuche, which brought the faithful from Cologne and Porz via Altenrath and Lohmar to Seligenthal to St. Rochus.
