Named after its builder engineer Otto Intze. This tower is today a residential building but was actually the base of a never completed water tower which should belong to a unfinished waterworks.

Just a few meters from the Cologne Worringen S-Bahn station stands the first photo opportunity:
The Cologne Trail guidebook provides the explanation for this unusual brick building: the "Intze Tower" was planned at the beginning of the last century as the base for a water tower for a waterworks, which was never completed. Today it is a listed residential building.
From here it's not far to what is perhaps the most beautiful nature reserve within Cologne's city limits, the Worringer Bruch. 👍
