Doornkaat was founded in 1806 in Norden.
The triple-distilled Korn is sold in a green square bottle with an alcohol content of 38%.
In 1991, the Berentzen Group acquired the business operations.
From 1997 onwards, no more Doornkaat was produced in the Norden distillery.🥃

The grain distillery was founded in Norden in 1806 and was an important employer until the nineties. In the meantime, the distillery was the largest in Europe. In 1991, the company was bought by the Berentzen Gruppe and production was relocated in 1992. Doornkaat was produced in Norden until 1997.
I still remember the slogan: "Masculine, Distinctive, triple distilled"... and the headache the next day 😉
