Granville is rich in a unique built heritage, including thirteen Historical Monuments. Its geographical location, at the northern end of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, historically makes Granville a privileged position for the protection of the Normandy coasts, and more particularly of the maritime entrance towards Mont-Saint-Michel. From the 18th century, surveillance and defense buildings were built there. Covered market on Saturday morning. For food only. The stands of clothes and objects are outside.
Very nice products sold by local producers. Upstairs, little grannies sell their garden produce.
