This charming white-washed village in the Eskdale Valley sits at the bottom of the famous and much feared Hardknott Pass.
In Boot you'll find a characterful country inn (the Brook House Inn), Post Office, the Eskdale Campsite and Eskdale Mill can be found over the pretty 17th-century packhorse bridge over Whillan Beck. Here you can visit one of the rare two wheel water corn mills.
