Everyone knows the old building with the striking tower on Ratzeburger Herrenstrasse. Generations of people have seen it from the inside - not always voluntarily. In the two-story brick building in neo-Gothic style, criminals were convicted, marriages divorced and bankruptcies attended. The building has served as the Ratzeburg District Court since around 1900, initially known as the “Royal” District Court.
