Hiking

The Von der Heydt Museum has one of the richest collections in Germany. The focus is on paintings of Dutch art of the 16th and 17th centuries, painting and graphics of the 19th century with excellent images of Impressionism as well as painting of the 20th century, whereby Expressionism is represented with outstanding works. This impressively extensive collection was created over the course of more than a hundred years through rich foundations and donations from the citizenry as well as large purchases. 400 sculptures and approx. 30,000 works on paper.
