The chapel was built by the builder Michael Gruber and donated by the Bayer family from Donnerskirchen. This was preceded by a successful healing of a serious foot injury caused by a horse hoof hit by Josef Bayer II. New town doctor and professor Dr. Eichhorn was treated surgically. It was built in 1895.
