Hiking
Approximately 15,000 cubic meters of water could be dammed. The sudden opening of the lock raised the water level in the Almbach Gorge to approximately 1.5 meters. This allowed timber and firewood up to 4.5 meters long to be floated.
The last float took place in the spring of 1963.
