Hiking

The Alte Staffelberg is located a little off the beaten path from the well-known summit area and is an interesting destination, especially for experienced hikers via the narrow ridge trail. It is considerably more pristine and in places also a bit more challenging than the wide paths around the Staffelberg.

Important: Access is only suitable for experienced and sure-footed hikers. A short section requires a bit of scrambling. Special caution is advised in wet or slippery conditions.

Those who embark on the slightly more challenging approach will be rewarded with a beautiful and less frequented section of the Staffelberg.

Hiking

For little adventurers, the Alte Staffelberg on the northeastern side of a light Kraxelei ready. If you prefer to take it easy you will reach a meadow up to the back of the mountain with information board and resting bench.

Definitely worth the climb, because you should not miss the view! You will also meet the footsteps of the Celts, who once built a fortification on the northern plateau.
