The Founders Park – Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve loop from Lake Forest offers a wonderfully accessible road cycling experience, perfect for a leisurely ride with plenty of natural beauty. While the Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve has dedicated paved trails for biking, be aware that some grass trails within the preserve are not open to bicycles.
