Hiking
Here, as at most restaurants in Sfakia, you can find σφακιανές πίτες με μέλι (the typical Sfakian round pancakes filled with sheep's cheese and honey, also known as Sfakian pies in English). Picture 4, however, shows καλιτσουνάκια (kalitsunakia), dumplings filled with spinach or wild herbs, which are also available with a cream cheese filling.
The tavern is usually open. To be on the safe side, you can call Jannis Venakis (697 3629547), who lives here year-round, to make an appointment. He also explains the way to the spectacular Stone Age cave Skordolakia (komoot.com/de-de/highlight/5444057 )
