Hiking

The old town center, with St. John's Church dating from 1307, still nestles almost unchanged today like a swallow's nest on the castle hill. Antiquity and romanticism greet visitors from every angle, fountains burble along the streetsides. In addition to numerous old town houses, the town hall, built in 1579, a monument to the half-timbered architecture of the Weser Renaissance, bears particular witness to this golden age.
