The Probstsee is the second largest lake in Möhringen and is about 2 hectares in size. The lake was created when the clay quarrying pit of the Probst brickworks was abandoned: the pit then filled with groundwater and continues to fill only this way. Fish like tench and pike live in the lake. Half of its shoreline is a designated bird sanctuary where kingfishers and other birds breed.
