The late Gothic Alte Nikolaikirche is a Protestant church in the old town of Frankfurt am Main. Its namesake is Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of fishermen. It is located near the Main on Römerberg and is known beyond Frankfurt as part of a characteristic ensemble. The building, which was founded in the middle of the 12th century as a court chapel, dates back to the 15th century in its current appearance and, as one of Frankfurt's eight endowed churches, has been used as a place of worship by the Evangelical Paulsgemeinde since 1949

The "Alte Nikolaikirche" is located on Frankfurt's Römerberg near the town hall. It was built in 1150 and renovated and rebuilt several times. It was rebuilt in 1951 after being destroyed in World War II. The core and a portal sculpture from the 13th century are still old. Also some epitaphs.
