Hiking

The Ignaz Mattis Hut is located in a secluded location high up in the Schladminger Tauern. Directly below the hut are the Giglach lakes in a barren high mountain valley - Alpine Panorama Deluxe. Around 60 mountaineers can stay overnight in the rustic hut. The hut is a perfect base for many summit tours in the Schladminger Tauern and is also a good stopover on a hut tour lasting several days.

Hiking

Very friendly run alpine club hut with excellent food and enough sleeping places. The location is fantastic and for overnight stays on the Schladminger Tauern Höhenweg is ideal. I was already on the road here on the Höhenweg in 2021.
