The black stick is a border area in Henneberger Land. This hall designation dates from a time when boundary stones were very expensive. To set the boundaries you took oak posts. These become black over the years by weathering then black. Therefore, this hall designation has the name "black stick". In memory of this story, the Heimatverein Jüchsen set such a border post in May 2004.
