Sur En lies on a terrace on the right side of the valley in the Lower Engadine at about 1470 meters above sea level. It consists of twelve houses and a small Romanesque village church. In the center of the village is the Brunnenplatz (fountain square).
In winter, Sur En is deserted; in summer, it is a holiday resort for the few local and foreign homeowners. One of the houses is richly decorated with sgraffiti by the Engadine artist Steivan Liun Könz, another stands out with its paintings. (Source: Wikipedia).
