Shortly after the political change, the cherry orchard was created at the entrance to the Wartenberger Feldmark landscape park. Japanese ornamental cherries, a gift from Japan, are supposed to document the historical event as a symbol of peace and the sun. The grove was laid out radially like a rising sun and forms the entrance area into the Wartenberger Feldmark. The focal point is the Japanese gate by the Brandenburg wood sculptor Wolfgang Stübner. If visitors walk through the oak gate at sunrise, according to old Japanese tradition, secret wishes should come true.
