The camp clock was originally built in 1912 on the military training area in Finnische Allee, at the intersection of Helgolandstrasse. It was dismantled in 1947 due to damage. In 1998 it was rebuilt at this location.

This camp clock once stood on the Lockstedter Lager military training area on Gravelottestraße, then named Mittelstraße, today Finnische Allee, at the intersection with Helgolandstraße.
It was damaged in the bombing of Lockstedt camp in 1944 and dismantled in 1947;
from 1997 repaired by the community with the help of money and donations in kind and inaugurated in May 1998 at the current location. "
