This windmill is located near the hamlet of Hoogeind in Oerle (Veldhoven). The Sint-Jan was built between 1985 and 1991 by the De Jongh family.
Parts from a number of demolished mills were used. Presumably from the 19th century.
For example, the octagon comes from Leezen, Germany. A demolished mill hull from Vught produced the 40,000 bricks for the substructure. Construction began on the site in 1987.
The Sint-Jan flour mill is located in the beautiful Kempen landscape between old farms, meadows, arable lands and forests.
