Cycling

There used to be an isolated sandbank to the east of Terschelling. It owes its open position to the Koggediep channel. By filling up the channel and building an artificial sand dike between 1931 and 1937, this sandbank was able to merge with Terschelling. This is how the Boschplaat, the largest nature area on the island, was created. The overwhelming feeling of isolated freedom has remained. You can feel this particularly in this patch of no man's land. The Boschplaat is also a Dark Sky Park. Here you can experience deep darkness and an endless starry sky.

Gravel riding

Another beautiful piece of gravel. For me, almost all gravel paths are something unique, especially if you combine them in a route.
