The approximately five-hectare Solmspark is located in the Frankfurt district of Rödelheim and is designed as an idyllic island surrounded by the Nidda river and the Mühlgraben canal. The present-day landscape park looks back on centuries of history: a medieval moated castle once stood here, later replaced by a classicist palace of the Counts of Solms-Rödelheim. After the palace was destroyed in World War II, the area was converted into a public park in the 1950s, with the layout of the former complex now being made tangible again through markings and a bronze model.

Located on an island between Nidda and Mühlgraben, Solmspark has its origins in the landscape park created in 1879 around the Rödelheim Castle of the Counts of Solms, which was destroyed in World War II. The 5-hectare park was redesigned in the 1950s and has been a listed building since 1986. The park impresses with its old stock of trees. A botanical rarity is the Caucasian wingnut with a diameter of around 60 meters in the middle of the park.
