The Stockalper Castle, also known as the Stockalper Palace, was built between 1651 and 1671 in the Valais town of Brig in Switzerland by Kaspar Stockalper.
It is characterized by a four-story main building, three towers and a three-story arcaded courtyard. The square towers made of granite blocks with gilded onion domes are named Kaspar, Melchior and Balthasar, which can be understood as an allusion to the three wise men. A first glance reveals the relationship between the three towers of the baroque building of the Stockalper Castle in Brig and the medieval onion dome of St. Nicholas.
