Directly on top of the Schatzenstein is dense forest and therefore the view into the distance is hardly possible. But a bit below towards the TV tower there is a small rock from which you have a good view at least in one direction.

At Schatzenstein you will find Nagel's Column, Station 127 of the Saxon State Survey of 1864, and the memorial plaque for Max Schreyer, the composer of the "Vuglbärbaam" song.
