Hiking

Villa Cassel, a building that at first glance doesn't fit into the Alps at all. It was built between 1900 and 1902 by a rich British banker named Ernest Cassel, originally from Cologne. His doctor, formerly personal physician, prescribed him rest and healthy air in the Alps. Today the center of Pro Natura Aletsch, formerly the Swiss League for Nature Protection. Opportunity for rest, views, and refreshments. Overnight stays are also possible.
