The blood beach Omaha Beach is undoubtedly the most famous of all landing beaches. The narrow sand strip, bordered in the east by bare cliffs, makes a harsh and desolate impression. It is not difficult to imagine the tragic and glorious events that took place here on June 6, 1944. This American sector claimed the greatest number of casualties.
