Unfortunately, you cannot get to this section of the main road without going through the bushes. Therefore _not_ an alternative to bypassing the main road on the Alpe Adria route. Recommendation: Just follow the AA signs and drive over the main road (even if that is not so great)

Old road passable from the direction of Venzone via Cimetero (cemetery) easy to find. Difficult to find from the direction of Resiutta. But the main road is sometimes very busy. The road and route between Moggio Ud and Resiutta are closed due to construction work June 2021, end not foreseeable.
The route FVG1 from Moggio to Amaro is very nice and tarred at first, then comes a gravel stretch that is officially closed, but is passable at your own risk due to falling rocks and two tunnels. To do this, you avoid a large stretch of federal highway
