Hiking

Start the tour in good time! If you're a good hiker, you'll need about four hours there and back without a break. Please check in advance whether the Hexenseehütte is open or bring your own provisions and drinks. The last Lazidbahn ride is at 4:30 p.m., otherwise you'll have to hike into the valley. Ankle-high shoes are recommended for the Schmugglersteig.

Mountaineering

The Hexenseehütte is located at 2,588 meters above sea level. Where else can you sleep so high and so comfortably? Mountain hikers can sleep in two camps with a total of 18 beds, for example to climb the Hexenkopf early in the morning at sunrise. Due to the infrastructure of the mountain railway, the hut is quite well equipped with showers and electricity. Even the starry nights are worth the climb.
