Hiking

A path runs along the rampart of the Eppinger Linie. It runs parallel to the main hiking trail, but is significantly shadier. The rampart ditch, which was formerly lined with sharpened wooden stakes, runs alongside. The path also leads past a no longer existing Chartaque, with the location being very clearly recognizable by the surrounding ditch. A sign here also provides information about the Eppinger Linie. It should be noted that this is also a mountain bike trail.

A beautiful path on the old ramparts, only a few months needed after almost 2 years of construction. Shortly after its construction, a peace treaty was signed.
Today a nice forest experience to walk on the path.
