The Katzenbachsee near Zaberfeld in the southwestern district of Heilbronn is a water retention basin that is often used as a swimming lake in the summer. The reservoir is located between Zaberfeld and the Weiler an der Zaber district.
At the lake, there is a covered barbecue area, a kiosk with catering and sanitary facilities, changing rooms, and a small observation tower. A path leads around the lake, connecting the sunbathing lawns. The smaller sunbathing lawns in the south and north are primarily reserved for naturists, while the larger sunbathing lawn west of the lake is for clothed visitors.
