The Hesselberg is the highest elevation in Middle Franconia, various trails and trails lead to the mountain plateau. You can conquer the mountain from all sides. And if you want to make a detour to the Öttinger Forst. This forest area stretches from Wassertrüdingen to Dinkelsbühl and offers forest trails, trails and trails at its best. Here you are welcome to travel 100 KM without using a larger stretch of road. The Öttinger forest is partly very hilly and has steep sections, so you come here on altimeters.

Mountain biking
The classic at the Hesselberg, from the plateau Osterwiese it's just down steeply. At the linden left and then left holding the beautiful root trail along the northern slope. Short dirt road and then on the Judensteig (final climb ultra steep) back to the plateau.
The Hesselberg offers many more trails. My tip: best early in the morning and during the week biking. The Hesselberg is also a very popular hiking area.
