Moose are only found in Sweden? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that. A whole family of elk has found a home here in the outdoor animal area of the Lusen National Park Center and can be observed in the huge enclosure. Two viewing platforms give you an insight into the life of the animals, but the same applies here: due to the size of the enclosure, you need time and patience, sometimes it can take a while before you spot the moose.

After 400 years of absence, moose are back in the animal world in the Bavarian Forest. However, whether they will survive in the Free State in the long term is also linked to climate change.
At the beginning of May 2020, two moose babies were born in the Neuschönau animal outdoor area.
