Little is known about the village of Camerata. Surely built around a castle (of which few traces remain) it was inhabited around the fifteenth century by the Chiaravalle, Ghibelline family expelled from Todi, whose chief Altobello, was slaughtered in Acquasparta by the Vitelli and Baglioni. No longer posing a threat, the village was transformed into an agricultural center with numerous farmhouses and villas that still host famous people from the cinema and the art world. There is a bar which also offers dishes cooked by reservation.
