An idyllic place where you can discover so much. The location on the water and at the same time in front of the high rock walls, on which the castle towers, is something special. Definitely worth seeing!

Charming place between rocks and backwater of the Altmühl with idyllic market place; Bruckurm and wooden bridge. Art trail on rock and river; Stalactite cave Schulerloch (locality of the only German early Stone Age cave paintings ca. 13,000 BC). High above the village Burgruine Randeck with magnificent views over the Altmühl and - in good visibility - on the Alps. Nearby one of the longest wooden bridges in Europe. Birthplace of Josef Deifel (1790-1864), whose diary records depicting the Napoleonic Wars are a historically valuable document.
