This bicycle bridge was opened a few years ago. It connects the cycle paths of Austria with those of Slovakia near the capital Bratislava (Pressburg).
Since I grew up in this area at the time of the Iron Curtain, this bridge of freedom has a great symbolic character, as I had to perceive armed border guards on the Slovak side at that time. All the nicer that you can now use this bridge freely to be able to cycle in neighboring Slovakia!
