"The foundation stone for a" Sachsenhain "was laid in Dauelsen in 1934. The National Socialist imperial leadership wanted to establish a national thing and memorial here. The historical background for this was the tradition that 4,500 Saxons through where the Aller flows into the Weser King Frank (later Charlemagne) was killed, and since there are no detailed records of this event, myths, legends, fantasy novels and adventurous interpretations have grown up around the so-called "Verden Blood Judgment".
