For the State Garden Show in 2008, the banks of the Rhine were completely redesigned and given a new shine. The Rhine promenade offers a clear view of the Niederwald monument, the Mouse Tower, Ehrenfels Castle and Rüdesheim. On June 27, 2002, this unique cultural landscape was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
