A well-restored and well-maintained castle ruin. Everything is secure, the tower is accessible via a staircase and there is even a toilet. The view from the tower is very beautiful.

A castle ruin absolutely worth visiting on the edge of the Hainich. Elaborately restored and well looked after by the Nazza castle association, Haineck Castle is a very beautiful highlight in the Thuringian Forest. It can be reached from all directions with sometimes steep, but mostly moderate ascents. You can walk around it, visit the interior, and climb the Great Tower. From the tower, there are fantastic views in all directions. Towards the Hohen Meißner, the Wartburg, and the Inselsberg, to name just a few.
