The Scherfbach Valley stretches from its source west of Kürten-Bechen to the confluence of the Scherfbach and the Dhünn rivers south of Odenthal. The entire stream system is protected here – tributaries, springs, wet meadows, and the typical alder and ash groves. As you walk through the nature reserve, you'll be treated to fantastic views of the Bergisches Land region.

Hiking

The nature reserve Scherfbachtal (Odenthal) is located in the municipality of Odenthal. It extends in five separate sections between Odenthal and Klev. In the upper section of the valley between Klev and Klasmühle, only the meandering creek with closed wood fringes from old alder, ash and willow trees as well as a narrow border of accompanying, more or less damp cattle pastures are included in the nature reserve.
