The Dismas statue at the former execution site of Eggenburg is hidden on the Galgenberg hidden between trees and can only be found by way of a path and a path. It was erected in the 18th century. Behind you will find the directional block.

In the forest on the Galgenberg, 50 steps away from the path, we find the statue of St. Dismas and behind it the executioner's block on the site of the former place of execution. A curved base sits on a rectangular foundation, which is decorated with volutes at the bottom. On it is a cover plate and on this stands the figure of St. Dismas. On the front of the base we find the text as a chronogram: Holy thief Dismas grant us a blessed end in God through your intercession. The chronogram gives the year 1720.
