Mountain biking
The most famous Neolithic menhir in the Klettgau area is the Menhir of Degernau (also known as Lange Stein). It is 2.25 meters long. It is a non-local rock, which was presumably transported there as a glacial erratic during the Riss glaciation and later erected by humans.
Archaeologists date the erection to the late Neolithic period (Neolithikum) or the early Bronze Age, around 2000 to 1800 BC.
