This mill already had numerous names: in 1572 it was called "Evertz-Mühle" in a legal pensioner letter, in 1681 "Mühle am Feschkens-Weiher", later "Jelisken-Mühle" and also Mettelskes-Mühle. Today's hallmark of the Bischofsmühle is not an upper or lower water wheel, but an ivy-covered chimney that belonged to a steam boiler system that was supposed to supplement the low water power since 1882. In front of the mill were three mill ponds.
