The railway line from Ebsdorf runs along the former district railway line that led from Dreihausen to Marburg. Passenger traffic was discontinued in 1956, while basalt was transported from the Dreihäuser quarry until 1972 via the narrow-gauge railway. Bortshausen, Ronhausen, Cappel and finally Marburg can be reached via the old railway line. From Marburg, the cycle path leads continuously uphill at a moderate incline until it descends again just before Ebsdorf. Shortly before the crest there is an information board on the right-hand side about the history of the circular railway.
