Hiking

In the 1820s, red dyeing became established in the region. The merchant Johann Jakob Täschler from St. Gallen had a yarn and red dye factory built on the Lower Burgweiher in the following years. In the course of this, the 25 meter high wooden tower tower was erected in 1828. It was used to dry the freshly dyed textiles.

Cycling

The Tröckneturm is a 25 meter high wooden tower built in 1828 that was used to dry dyed textiles. The shape of the roof made it possible to dry very long materials outside the tower. A guided tour can be booked to view the interior.
