Crosby beach is a huge sandy beach on the Irish Sea. The Burbo Bank windfarm is clearly visible offshore.
Sculptor Antony Gormley has installed 100 cast iron casts of himself looking out to sea. The installation is called Another Place.

The installation is spread over 2 miles and the statues disappear and reappear with the tides.
Originally a temporary exhibition, it became a permanent fixture in 2007 due to its popularity.
Very thought provoking it represents human existence, migration, and our relationship with nature.
Do wear Suitable Footwear – The beach can be muddy, especially near the water.
The best viewing times are early morning for peaceful solitude, or sunset for a stunning view.
Dogs are welcome but be mindful of tide changes and occasional soft sand areas.
