Hiking

Some works of art are more likely to meet with incomprehension among the general public, others are immediately taken to the heart. The figure of the storm-blown man with his useless umbrella on the Steinwarder promenade in Heiligenhafen brings a smile to the faces of residents and visitors to the city again and again and is a popular photo opportunity. The stylized and greatly simplified depiction of the larger than life man is reminiscent of slapstick-like comics or simple stick figures. The bent posture vividly captures the strange situation.
