The Priessnitz spa town owes its existence and subsequent fame to its founder Vincenzo Priessnitz. Already in 1822, he founded the world's first hydrotherapy institute in Gräfenberg, thus laying the foundations for a new field of medicine - hydrotherapy. The Priessnitz spa resort is located in beautiful nature on the slope of the easternmost ridge of the Rychlebské Mountains.
