The Fraukirche, dedicated to Our Lady and located 3 km southeast of Thür, is one of the oldest churches in the Eifel. The current church building was built on the foundations of a Franconian hall church from the 8th century. At the beginning of the 13th century, the original church building was replaced by a new building, of which the central nave and choir are still preserved today.
